For all the whining from Rudan didn't Mehmet swing for Smith as he stood up before Smith went for him?

One day Kewell will be able to dominate a game with the skills of Matt Simon

On a day with 23 goals, including a couple contenders for goal of the season, the performance of the day was by Ned Zelic. Him, assisted by some great football and Bosnich's cocaine fueled laughter made for a great days watching.

This. I hope that stream we had keeps going, because I loved the bits in between the games. So much better than that time-filling sh*t Sky plays in between them.

Thoughts on the big Wednesday concept? I didn't catch all the games, but the ones I saw were great. Decent crowds too. Might be here to stay?

would have been better if they were all live on sky.  Prefer a Big Saturday to a Big Wednesday   George Costanza2012-01-05 11:44:01

They took a risk not putting it on a public holiday, but it seemed to work out pretty well.

It will be interesting to see if they run it again, and on what date. CCM have an annual fixture on New Years eve, whats a Monday next season, so I don't think they will run it the first Wednesday in Jan.

I loved Big Wednesday, and to be honest, it worked out better (for me anyway) to have it all delayed.  I got home from the Phoenix game about 6.30, had dinner, got the kids sorted and into bed and then settled in from 8.30pm to watch the other four games.  Avoided the scores without any problems and really enjoyed all four matches. Finally got to bed about 4.30am, but that's what holidays are for, right?

I assume that either your kids don't get up at 6am, or you have a very understanding wife?

I like tautologies because I like them.
