Big celebrations. Didn't realise the minor premiership meant that much to players. Well done though Sydney.

Three for me, and two for them.

Edit: They answered my question soon after, why Thursday? AFL on Friday/Saturday?

There is a bit of a debacle going on with Melbourne and scheduling of the Finals and ACL matches :)

So they appealed to the FFA to bring the match forward.

They get ACL qualification, so that's pretty big.  And everyone loves winning the league, even if you do have to play more games to win the championship!

Yeah that's true, forgot about the ACL. That is huge.

Melbourne fly to Beijing the day after the game for their ACL opener.

Ouch, so that's what it's like to lose a  big game....stings a bit! Ah well, Sydney were the best team on the day, and deserve the title of best team of the year. Now we'll just have to win another Grand Final!

Well done to the 1,000s of Sydney fans who attended their first game of the year yesterday, welcome back!

We'll have to sign Mile Sterjovski as...errr....assistant to the bloke who puts the cones out at training. Oh, and maybe he could play a game or two.

They were just happy to beat Melbourne to it, we haven't celebrated like those gooses did when we won it.

McFlynn's a c.nt for doing that, I'll spit on him if I saw him around Melbourne pre-game.

He's staging a last minute ditch for the WC squad, that game reminded me of his form around 2005/06.

As for McFlynn, he did nothing malicious.  It was no different to dozens of fouls every week in the A-League.  Brebner, Broxham, Muscat all do it.  It should earn yellos more often but that is another argument.

Kruse looked like he got his foot caught in the ground or something rather than anything aimed to injure him by McFlynn.

Disclaimer : If McFlynn had done it deliberately he'd have shot up my favourite player list.

Mc Flynns foot lands on Robbie Leg around his Archillies tendon. That is what caused Robbies foot to turn over on itself.

It was wreckless too. It was not an attempt to go for the ball. And it in no way looks like he was trying to turn. And I cannot see how he could say he was going for the ball. It was a clear foul.
He First kicks Robbies left leg with his right leg. which caused him to trip up. And on his way down McFlynns right foot lands directly on his right leg just above his ankle.Stefan2010-02-15 16:32:16

I was there mate, that's why the NESW full stadium chant originated. Up until then it was just the dudes at either end of the ground. But Melbourne didn't carry on that night AFTER the game like the Sydney players did.

The finals are being played in 3 days, back to work I say for Sydney FC.

I guess. I didn't watch the Sydney players, but I remember the Victory boys coming over to the NT and generally celebrating like crazy.

Was a while ago, mind.
