The refs boss came out during the week and said that they will follow what FIFA says and they will give the benefit to the attacking team.

What really amazes me is the amount of work their players do off the ball and how little time they have on the ball. They take a touch and move it on. They make the ball do the work. We could learn a trick from that. We have the personnel if we wanted to play that style
It's all 1 or 2 touch football. Too bl**dy nice on the eyes. Shame that they are wearing orange.

I agree with you - thats the way it should be, but unfortunately that's not the way the FFA referees boss has said it will be policed. One of the ref KPI's that were published this week had this:
3. Better offside interpretation
- In the event of any doubt, giving the benefit of the doubt to the attacking side.[/3]
