Third Time Lucky?

Yipe a really good read John. Lots and lots of hurdles, but an Auckland A League team would be a massive boost for NZ football, and I think 2-3 derby games a season, only positive for the Nix.

I'd say either a highest profile Pacific player and/or an Asian player, as an important signing. Auckland obviously has a very big Asian popn now.

31 yr old Wood is a good marquee idea. Alternatively Winston Reid would be 34 in 2023. Injury prone, but likely by then his EPL career is over, so a more likely option to tempt 'home'.

Tuiloma will only be age 27 in 2023, but he's PI boy, and give him a fat contract plus captaincy - he could be tempted.

The Boxalls are half Samoan. Michael would be age 34 come 2023.
