You'd have to say Ferguson made a mess of it with all those early subs. NQF's midfield was all over the shop in the 2nd half.

Nah you just have to play the right tactics against them: close them down in midfield, use the offside trap against Smeltz or push him wide, attack their outside backs down the flanks and get good crosses in. I think they are a bit vunerable at the back.

Jeez.....how good is Smeltz
and how good is that porter smeltz combo. Remember they could have/should have been playing for us last year....sigh!
Just shows what Smeltz is capable of if he gets good service. He got the golden boot with us living off scraps....now with Porter and culina and co he's brilliant.
 
I can not see him still being in the A-league by the seasons end.....surely he would have a" get out of GC" clause in his contract if he got a abig offer. He had that offer from Turkey end of last season.....many clubs will be keeping an eye on him. He could earn big bucks.
 
If for some reason he stays then he could set some sort of a-league goal scoring record.
 
Still think that GC are beatable...away to Adelaide next week will show how good they are.
 
Great for the AW"s  with him and Killeen we have two strikers in red hot form!!!!!!!!!!!r

totally agree. now if mcglinchey and Elliot team up in the midfield we could get some decent ball to these attackers and the AWs could be very threatening. WOW man Smeltz is my Idol.
