Yes CCM has headed past the Peter Petrelli look alike goal keeper.

1-0.

It seems like absolutely everything has gone our way this round

If we needed the Jets to beat CCM by 8 goals right now i'm sure it would happen

Yes, but I'd have still missed.  Then again I'm not a professional footballer... I'm barely an amateur one.

The only enjoyable moments were the goal, obviously, and Haliti's extended dummy spit at Song.

Also I'm still trying to get my head round the idea that Melbourne actually wanted Nick Mrdja. WTF were they thinking!?

Well CCM has defence well with their bodies in the way and then has a few counterattacks. Newcastle is throwing plenty of shots and the kitchen sink with no joy.

I think the young CCM players just have to mix their passing with a bit more personal flair. Their passing is a bit forced without needing to be a certain time. But then a few of their one-touched passing has got them well into the danger zone until the last ball gets intercepted. Need to not be rushed and focus on the accurate pass by an extra touch. It would bring the players in and open better gaps. They just need to not get too tense, because the running support are there.

New lady at halftime.  Not as hot as Mel but certainly not bad.  No sir, not at all.

Thinking I want Newcastle to win this as that'll put them above Perth.  Then both teams lose next week (or Newcastle win if we win as well) and we'll be playing the Jets at home.  I'd far rather play the Jets than Perth at home.

Hopefully a few yellows/reds get dished out, the more suspensions for both sides the better as far as I'm concerned.

I gave up on it. Swift & Shift on the Comedy Channel. No contest.

I'm watching Bear Grylls and I thought he was rediculous...

Hav CCM got any chance of making 6th?  Looks like they need to win twice, need Jets to lose...not sure if other results would mean they have got no chance though (i.e a brisbane draw).

The best thing he's ever done for us.

The Jets are finally being found out as being not very good.

After that run of five wins in six games, they're now facing their fourth defeat in five matches.

I hope they can somehow beat Adelaide and Perth lose to Brisbane, moving the Jets to fifth.  They'd be my preferred opponent in the playoff match, but unfortunately I can't see it happening.

No, they can only get to 33 points, even with a win here and then another against the Phoenix. Jets currently sixth on 34.

CCM are out. No chance of making 6th. Before this match they were 7 points behind them with 2 games to go. So you see...

This should also make CCM safe the wooden spoon, making their Friday night even less purposeful.
Oooh, hilarious Haliti (as I write).

I know, I know, its serious!

Haliti booked once for diving and the second for a blatant 'hand of god'.  Goooone.

Do you think that Branco Culina in his arrogance decided before thie match tonight that he'd prefer to play either Gold Coast or Sydney as coming to Wellington or Perth would be too far to travel?

Out of interest did the ball go in off his hand?  Or did he just stick it out and it went nowhere?
