While the owners weren't football people, they certainly are becoming that fast. Heck, our chairman is at the crux of setting up a new league and is well admired by 'real' football people.

All we need is some football expert that looks further than a coach is able to do. The coach could be shark or homesick and then is is gone after a year. That person has to build long term plan for players and is able to recommend contracts for valuable players. Long term versus short term success a coach might have.
Like a Director of Football you mean? :) Pretty sure a number of YF have been suggesting the club created that role for a number of seasons now. If only the club would listen :)
