We share a common issue, the last change in ownership has resulted in beyond poor Football understanding in relation to the Australian sporting environment.
Mike Charlesworth, has taken the Mariners close very close actually to being regulated his penny pinching and trying to control the club from England is beyond crazy maybe crazy is the wrong word but inept, incompetence certainty are.
Your ownership equally ignored many early warning signs and seemed to lack vision on what they had and how they could use it to grow.
Both owners, especially Charlesworth let Hal in general down.
Both owners I think will need to convince the new management team running Hal, they have version, and drive to do more than make up the numbers. Rudan leaving and in part because of the owners lack of vision can't help.
Don't often say this- but feel sorry for you man.
Think your squad was better than ours this year in some respects and the difference was the coach.
No need to but appreciate the comment.
We have a very poor owner and our issues are totally self inflicted.
We are close to being regulated again because of our owner / management or lack thereof.
The Road had some huge issues some time back and there fans reacted and changes were m are.
If we go back to the days of TS everyone was talking about more in NZ.
Rudan leaving IMO has much more to do with with your owners than anything else.
FFA have been used by lazy owners to mask there ineptude . No doubt FFA where poor but they became the blame all and Charesworth used the FFA excuse constantly.
It sucks dicks that the new team is poaching a brilliant coach but all the blame on him is poor analysis.
I Don't buy the lets wait to spent money it's laughable and shows along with Charleswoeth a lack of respect support of Hal.
Both clubs could pay a big price for there ineptitude and incompetence at ownership level
Appreciate the sentiment, but the big difference between CCM and us is that CCM have a license until 2034. That's not an excuse by lazy owners - it's a fact. One thing I can't accept our owners being called is lazy.
They don't actually, one more wooden spoon next year and they can lose their license
Really? I didn't know that.
Still, it's arguably a better situation than ours. We could win the damn thing and still be thrown out at the end of next year the way things stand now. Obviously, we're all hoping (and owners working hard) for a different reality to emerge. But, it's a very fair reason to not sink further significant investment into club until that is resolved.
Rudan's family reasoning is fair enough, if a little surprising for a man in his chosen profession. The lack of investment one is just bullshark though IMHO, and shows a complete lack of understanding for his employer's position.
