He may be going through the same extended agonising process (to join) with them as he did with us (to leave).

Maybe his lawyers are getting the 8-week out clause stitched in.

Or maybe he is playing hard to get.  At least some of the Australian pundits would say of his first year as a HAL coach that he has "single-handedly rescued a moribund no-hope club and turned them into would-be-contenders, overnight", and he is banking his new deal on that reputation.
