You didn't answer the question. How can you tell at the time whether a media report is the good oil, given all the deliberate misinformation? One answer would be "if it comes from a credible football journo"; but we all know that journos across the ditch (eg D. Bossi) are dumpsters for FFA disinformation. And my point about anonymous blogs retailing rumours spread by agents to get leverage in contract negotiations stands.
Unless I'm confused, the same blog which said "Rudan to Bitumens" was last year saying "Dome is moving the Nix to SW Sydney", which was a misinterpretation at best.
