Felt sorry for the guy. He looked absolutely devastated when he missed; seemed like it brought all the demons back from missing the pen against us. Have to remember that it wasn't *just* that it lost them the game - after that his cousin got shot in the head, he was threatened with his life etc and had to flee his own country. I can mostly agree with that after your edit. Yes, the reasons for him leaving Bahrain were political, not to do with missing the penalty.
