Got it.

Score now 1:1 - good quality goal by Finkler, well placed with a bend and minimum power needed.

FFS they've barely been in the game.

That top knot is a travesty but it's good to see Cernak finally achieving his potential. He has been excellent since winning a first team spot. Probably lucky for him that all their imports have failed miserably this season, otherwise his A League career might have been all but over.

geez that's a good goal

Well fudge, that was quite a good goal.

Cernak has been great tonight. Ferreira has been absolute trash ; he pulled out of a goal scoring opportunity because he was scared of the keeper.

Headless chicken defending by Ferreira though. Literally ran in the opposite direction away from Finkler and left him clear to line up the shot.

That's a damn shame.

Bit of a shame. Basically the only two real moments of quality from MV and they both resulted in goals. Otherwise CCM were more than a match for them.

Wish the refs would start taking a tougher line with dissent. Hutchinson should definitely have been given his marching orders for that disgraceful expletive laden tirade at Gillett near the end.

You are right. It was way over the top and it was a blatant foul. I  just don't get some players that keep going on and on ---- do they actually thing the ref is going to change his mind?

CCM are a much better side under their new coach and we still have to play them.

MC 1-0 over the Roar after 5 mins.

Almost feel a bit sorry for Roar. Injuries galore, heavy schedule. Their season is definitely on the slide now.

I wish this Perth game were earlier so I could go moe moe.

This game is rubbish.

The only thing worth mentioning in a dreary match was Brenton Speed claiming that Kris Griffith-Jones is the in-form ref of the A League. Nearly fell off the couch in amazement.

WSW open the scoring 1-0

I'm rooting for WSW. It suits the needs of the Phoenix so I can justify it.

Oh now that's lovely. I'll root for WSW in every possible way if it'll help them take down Perth.

Wow, was just looking back at the old league tables. After round 13 Perth were on 32 points, leading 2nd place MV by 7 points and Sydney by a whopping 14 points. Talk about hitting the wall.

Should I know the meaning of Bulut's shirt?

I assumed it was the name of his local eye tattoo parlour.

Looking at it this way.......

Perth lose = good for the nix

Draw = good for the nix

WSW lose = good

Bulut might be a right muppet off the field but 5 goals in 5 games is a fantastic return for a young kid.

The only hope for anything positive coming from the weekend is if the Jets do the impossible and take a point or three of Adelaide. But they have just missed an absolute sitter.

Permalink Permalink

Jets have missed three very good chances but Reds have managed to take at least one of theirs.

HT 1-0 Reds.
