that was interesting. don't remember the last time I saw a goal like that. but it's something that happens sometimes. still, the official should have checked the net after half time. let's hope the game turns into a farce and ends on 2-1.

Dont the linesman have a direct communication to the referee? In which case the goal wouldve been called by the referee straight away as the linesman would have said so straight away. The delay was a bit odd,so you can see how some would instantly think the 4th official had a sneaky peek.

my suspect is that the linesman didn't see it. and the ref gave a corner. however, following the vigorous protests from Sydney (including a spirited McFlynn who showed him a conspicuous hole in the net, he went to his linesman, had a chat and awarded the goal.
