Auckland FC will 'one day' be free from sharing with rival codes

Mostly a recap of what's already been posted here, although this caught my eye:

Auckland FC coach Steve Corica does not expect to be at the club when football finds its place in the city's sporting landscape.

I don't know how long Corica's contract runs for, but maybe that says something about his and the club's expectations around timing?
Between finding a location, getting resource consent and building it, you are probably looking at 4-5 years minimum. The lifespan of coaches in football isn't as long as that. You either get fired for doing badly or if you do well, move to better a better gig.

Sounds like the lifespan for project managers on major infrastructure builds, too... But hey they can always go back to the drawing board and write up a new business case, that's how we deliver things on time in this country right?

On a less sarcastic note, have there been any hints yet about where the AFC Women will play next season? North Harbour maybe?

(In keeping with the BK theme I guess we could christen them the Burger Queenz - lame joke that may be, but it's honestly no worse than Black Dames which is the logical extension of Foley's preferred branding.)
