In other news, Roarcelona are back.
I only saw the last 30 mins of the game, they were still passing the ball sideways and much slower tempo than when they were on the unbeaten run. They still don't seem to know what to do if they cant get behind your fullbacks. Think the last couple minutes will hide the fact they looked toothless the rest of the time.

That was true until the two subs were made in the last 30 mins. I thought from then on they were pretty good. Probably just about deserved the points.

I want to see a better replay of the tackle that lead to the free kick Adnan scored from, and any replay of Murdocca's possible hand ball in the lead up to that last goal. My first instinct is that Sydney might have got robbed.

Stefanutto and a clear hand ball (new that after the dreadful 90 mi9nutes he'd put in he didn't have that good a touch).  I replayed it about a dozen times.

can someone explain wat berisha did ?

After the whistle, he tapped one guy on the shoulder saying "let's go for it in the tunnel as we mentioned before" then ran straight for the tunnel, ripping off his shirt in the process.  When he got to the tunnel the Sydney FC guy seemingly wasn't up for it anymore.

Were going at it all game, I kinda hope he gets suspended after doing that. Theres no need for that in the game. He had just won it for Brissy and went and ruined.

I expect a fairly big ban.

Allegedly

No Bosschaart had walked over and was following him just not as obviously and people started dragging them apart.  Paartaluu said there had been words exchanged at the previous match that kept going.

Thought so, Reddy and another Sydney player picked up a yellow for complaining about it but the commentators didn't seem to pick up on it.

just watching the post match, Ange P saying Berisha didn't do anything wrong... "All I saw was that he took off his shirt and pointed to the dug out"

Any clue as to what they were fighting about? I have no idea but do the Dutch and Albanians not like each other?

Incident report has been filed by the officials. We will be hearing more of this.

Where are the source of these rumours that Berisha had his balls groped by another man? That would probably set me off too.

I heard via twitter but that's not a valid news source.

Up until tonight I used to cringe everytime he got the ball.

He's been very good except for his first 30 or 40 mins for the Roar.

His free kicks have been terrible before tonight though. Actually surprised Broich let him take that one tonight.

I'm no expert but in what little I've seen him play I've always thought Adnan to look pretty ordinary. And I stress I've only seen a little.

I commented on it to a friend tonight because it just always looks like he's off the pace and I wondered about his work rate (because in my heart I want him to succeed).

Boy did he turn it around (and again that's aside from the goal).

Congratulations bro! *high five*

Very ordinary from what I've seen. Shockingly bad against us in Dunedin. Has had obvious trouble playing out from the back in the approved Ange manner and constantly gives away possession in dangerous positions. Tonight was a rarity.

Pretty much sums up what little I've seen of him. Not from lack of interest but merely due to not watching many A-League games not involved the Nix. Used to be none actually.

I should add that I was actually quite pleased for the guy. Brilliant free kick, and seemed like a very nice bloke in the post-match interview.

In terms of the free kick, that was my instinct too. Broich stopped in his tracks and waited for the moment to go to the ground. I'm not familiar with the rules around this but it looked so fake.

Didn't realise there was an appeal for handball

Broich went down like a German dive bomber....thought Germans were tough...[same ref who sent Brown off] so probably needs help on the laws of the game...was a nice dive all the samel

Did they really? I was watching and there was an interview with a Sydney guy and then one Roar guy (who was asked about the Berisha incident) and then it finished? I could be much mistaken but I would have paid attention if I had seen them interview Adnan.

The Adnan interview was part of the Hyundai Matchday Saturday show run by Fox, not part of the broadcast of the game, hence why Sky didn't show it.

Yep me too.Definitely this.Stefanuto appears to stumble as he lunges for the ball and handles it with his left arm to keep it in.You can see Reddy and other Sydney players appealing straight after but no way from ref Shepheard.. no surprises there.
Good result for Nix though.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

Dont agree.  I dont think it is clear at all whether it hit his arm from the replays. It was coming for his chest, he seemed to push it forward towards the goal line with his chest, the ball has moved a metre beyond him when he stumbles, and the ref was watching and got a very good view of it. None of the replays show it from the side we need to see it from, which is the refs view

Good result for us

Berisha is an idiot, lost the plot, wins the game and then will be out for some of the next ones for sure

I've looked at the 'hand ball' a few times and from the only camera angle we saw it did look a bit dodgy, but I would not have given it unless it was 100%. Perhaps ref was sure.Leggy2012-01-15 15:43:38

Not the first handball that's not been called, but from the one camera angle on video, I'd say it would be hard to call handball without another angle, you cant see where the ball hits him.

The rumour is that it's McFlynn but only a rumour.

It might explain why Berisha ran off then hid behind officials, McFlynn still had them..

Take another look at the footage, not sure why many on other forums continue to say he ran away.Seemed to me he was well up for it.Took a big effort by some to keep him out. Will be interesting to see what comes out of it.Did seem it got really out of control after Reddy ran to get involved.
