"The new ruling means the A-league can still have five imports but one must come from within the confines of the AFC’s members federations."

So with Roly, Roy, Rod, Rossi and the Finkler we'd have to replace one of them with an AFC import.

I hope (but doubt) that OFC counts as AFC for us in this rule
3+1 ? One less import, likely to see a little bit more competition for Australian players.

“FFA has determined to move to a 4 plus 1 structure for the 2018/19 season but will prudently review the implementation to consider all relevant factors and impacts at the end of the 17/18 season,’’ said Gallop.

So with Roly, Roy, Rod and Rossi would we have to have an AFC import either instead of one of them, or in addition to them? Or just to have five one must be from AFC?
