I know there will be much stiffer tests ahead, but liking the speed of play and the willingness to spring forward.

Good involvement from the youngsters so far as well. Positive early signs in the chiefy tenure.

Some similar passing patterns from last year. We seem to lack connect or ideas when moving forward. We pass it around the back and then launch a long range pass. But it’s preseason so not actually fussed

Yeah, last 15 we tended to probe forward, then stop and recycle. Too much.
You do that once, fine, twice, Ok. 3times at a stretch but you really need to be pushing it through then.

Yeh there was a point pre-injury when Rufer was looking to dribble or pass very directly through the centre. If he’s not doing that then it places a lot of pressure on Pennington. 

A bit worried about our squad depth if Ball and Old are going to be out with injury a bit. 

Still very early days.

Quietly pleased with what I’ve seen. Some good combinations, good inputs from the youngsters and I love to see a keeper use his feet. Promising

Bit concerned ar the lack of ideas for moving the ball forward. Still, early days in pre season.

I do agree with the commentator that it'd be nice to see the fullback further forward.

The first 15min showed us an idea of the style Italiano wants to play, quick movements and passing.  We faded in the 2nd half, match fitness not there yet and lots of tired legs.

Their goal, I can't believe we had three defenders stuck round the one attacker and left their scorer unmarked. Very poor.

Extra time not necessarily a bad thing....as long as we go on to win.
