Looks like the Nix players and management are taking a complete u turn from last years derby approach where they were in the media beforehand taking shots and firing up the derby. 

Really nothing but complete silence on the rivalry this time around from the Nix. It’s obviously a plan to treat it like a normal game and not to provide any ammunition to AFC and/or so they don’t look like plonkers if it goes tits up.

Best approach from a football perspective but it’s a shame the first game isn’t in Auckland as it may not be helping the attendance  in Wellington
