Yeah, like complaining about cycleways, which saves lives, reduces congestion, and makes the community healthier, because they don't like the fact that it narrows the roads (but is still wide enough for two cars comfortably)
the SKY path in Auckland was an interesting one - community groups on both sides of the bridge complained about it, complaints like it will bring more foot traffic etc etc.
Seriously? more foot traffic? talk about glass half full, how about on the positive side less actual traffic!!
People complaining about how much it cost and where that money was coming from was slightly more understandable.
