If the AWs do well at the World Cup you can expect some goodwill around football in NZ to flow into early season A League crowds.

The first Nix game at Te Kaha will draw football fans from all over the Sth Island, even some from Welly. Yes less so the sporting casuals who will mostly go to a rugby game at the new ground

From memory that regular season ALM game at Forsyth Barr was in the uni holidays. Dunners is dead without the scarfies in town. Some even call Otago mostly empty. Not much of a comparison

Also remember the Nix will only host one derby match next season not two, so exploring ideas how they can increase gate revenue
