So basically it’s a dinner and drink as much piss as you can drink within a certain amount of time to get your moneys worth?

I got tickets weeks ago, at that point they had two Nix zones at polar opposite ends of the ground, one of which was up in the nosebleeds overlooking the Port. I got tickets in the section on the other end of the stadium from the Port because who wants to be near them? But it looks like I've been moved over to that Nix section anyway. How annoying is it that they have the home and away active zones right next to each other. Does this organisation know anything about football? But at least it looks like most of the Nix fans should be in the same place now?
Yeah their ticketing has been a shambles. It's either stupidity or they have done it on purpose. At least by being behind a unique code it should have stopped local plebs from buying in the away section.

Well at least the 2 fans groups should be able to hear each other's chants now!
I remember reading about a few Nix fans, who almost seemed disappointed they couldn't hear what The Port where chanting at the ROF.

And imagine Mt Smart being a very open ground, it would be even harder to hear them if you were at opposite ends.

Hopefully adds to the atmosphere having the groups close together, without yeah leading to any trouble.

Honestly, not a cheap shot at the Port but at Sky, when the Fever Zone was quiet, you could see the Port were obviously doing some chanting, but I/we couldn't hear a thing. Yes, it would have been nice to hear. I was kinda waiting to hear a "You're not singing any more" when they scored. But nothing.

I was sitting in isle 30 and was actually able to hear them really well. I remember noting to my dad about how much more clearly we could hear the Port but could hardly hear the Fever

And you get a free playing shirt

Actually with the free shirt and if you get there early and leave last, drinking as much piss as you can, you could break even and have a good day

With the shirt it's not a bad deal... especially when you think about the cost of stadium food and drink.

Was in a similar section and heard very little of the Fever. I recall there being a breeze but didn't think it was enough to drown either set of fans out (clearly it was).

Missed out on tickets for this match. Missus has organiséd a weekend on Waiheke Island to compensate.
Anyone know of a bar or other venue on Waiheke that might be showing the match? Thanks.

Separate from whether the name is good or not, I just wish Sky would at least spell it right if they insist on using it- On tonight's broadcast and for the 1st derby at the start of the month they have spelt it 'Classico' when it should be 'Clasico'

Very glad Auckland won today, so the mighty Nix can be the first to score against them and win against them. Will make it all the more sweet!

So what is the plans, pre-match drink venue? Organised march to the ground from the Penrose Train Station?

can it be Saturday already!! This is going to be a long week!

If at least 20,324 people turn up on Saturday, AFC will have had more fans in attendance this season than the NZ Knights had in total over their two seasons.

Bet A League bosses are secretly hoping both NZ teams get home finals as there is a decent chance both sellout.

Auckland v Wellington two leg semi would probably sell out both legs, including if Auckland moved their home match to Eden Park.

Three for me, and two for them.

Would rather keep that one for a Grand Final at the Ring of Fire.

I think the season really has been ideal from a marketing perspective from everyones point of view.

Auck is gettng great coverage after a great start (and good crowds). The NIX got that crowd during the season they've always dreamed of, plus have had a decent start... and the A League finally has a successful new franchise it appears with viewership numbers up significantly from last year.

Win Win all around.

If anyone has any spare tickets please DM me... I'm all sorted personally, but trying to help out a friend get tickets for her and her kid after she dropped the ball as they say.

That is pretty standard fare ahead of a big derby match though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Any idea if public transport is included in AFC tickets?
Oluwayemi will likely be the most nervous going into the rematch, though he has definitely recovered well since the costly mistake.
As far as I'm concerned a win is mandatory. We can't lose the first two derbies or we'll never hear the end of it. A draw would be acceptable but it won't feel nearly as satisfying as getting revenge in front of their home crowd

I couldn't find any information on this on the Ticketmaster, stadium or Auckland Transport websites. Pretty silly.

For people travelling up, you can now tag on and off from public transport using any contactless payment method (no need for a HOP card). Not sure why this wasn't a thing already, but hey...
