Absolute find by Uffie (who I think worked with him in the Australian junior set up).
Didn't really set the world on fire in pre-season/FFA Cup..but is doing so well now that he's been given a chance. To me he's the best MF we have in the squad right now, even better than Matti who's pure class and has outstanding positioning.
But Cammie's ability to win the ball and a start play from the back, in tight spaces make him an asset.
It's also worth noting he's eclipsed Rufer who had probably been in the form of his life until he got injured.

He's good, but Matti is a class above him, Devlin doesn't have near the same passing ability but hard to compare as they do different jobs.

They are completely different players, so hard to compare Matti and Devlin, but I can see Devlin being a much better player when he's 25 than Matti is now.
Would be good to lock Devlin in for a few years.
4 year deal please!

Shouldn't be too hard - We have Steven Taylor, that should convince her.

Fears allayed for now. Hopefully she considers the local shopping of required standard for a WAG.
Although it was a big move up sticks and shift to New Zealand, having lived at home with his parents while at Sydney, Devlin said he settled in swiftly. After initially flatting with team-mates Alex Rufer and Oli Sail, he has now moved into his own place with girlfriend Amy Wood, who joined him in the New Year.
"She's settled in and has got a job now, which is awesome, she's friends with a lot of the girlfriends and wives, which is really, really good. It makes it a lot easier for me off the pitch to have that homely feeling to have someone really, really close to me.
"With the boys, they're all really good. The older boys have taken me under their wing and helped me a lot on off the pitch and helped me grow as a person and as a player. Having that is awesome."

Seems like he might have haeded back to Aus to be with family.
Which of course resets his continuous resident status to zero
I really like the idea of naturalising this guy.

Naturalisation by residency is 5 years?
At the rate Devlin is improving, he will be in Europe giving it a crack well before then. He could even come into future Socceroos reckoning. Or follow Ufuk back to Sydney FC, which is a better than even future chance of happening - if not for a year or two yet.
Vote Devlin cuz we can't vote for Libby?
? Give both @Cammy_Devlin and @Piscopo_Reno a vote for the Young Footballer of the Year Award ?
