Earlier this year the club had said that they wanted a greater presence in cities outside of wellington and requested applicants for this role - a type of ambassador job where you organise get togethers with other fans, not sure what has come from that - might be a good idea to contact the club to see if anything happened for chch - that way you are not doubling up.

But otherwise a great idea, the main challenge I have found is getting a pub that will play the games , not so much a problem for an afternoon kick-off but if you have a late kick off here or later if playing in Aus late in the evening have to select a venue that is happy to have the games on rather than change to loud thumping music. Post quake, possible candidates could be The Pegasus (former owners of teh Bard that play alot of football), maybe one of the Speights Ale Houses (Bealey gets a bit mental in the evenings, not sure about Tower Junction).

With the season starting later, at least there wont be league or a itm game to compete with - real hard to get a pub to change channel to a nix game even when playing a game that doesnt feature Canterbury.

Happy to help with any ideas you may have, needs support to get off the ground.
