It is not going to matter one iota who the coach is until we have the players that are good enough. Pretty simple really.
Suggest you look at the league table.
A) The coach is the one who actually brings in the players, so it DOES matter one iota who the coach is
B) A lot of the squad is genuinely A-League level, its just for most of the season they were made to play in a defensive style when almost all of our players are suited to the old Ernie attacking style. Of course there are the ones that aren't (Parkhouse, Italiano, etc), but every club has a few of them
C) Hard to play football when you're being ruled by a malevolent egotistical dictator who doesn't have a clue and seemingly doesn't care about his players
I'm not saying our squad doesn't need any improvements or that on paper our squad as a whole is one of the better ones in the league, but under the right system they can play a damn lot better than they did this season. Kalezic's style relied on no one making individual errors - that's never going to work in the A-League, whether you're Nix or Sydney
