You'd have to wonder why the other 10 full members of OFC (ecl NZ), would allow either the Nix or AFC to be allowed to enter the OFC Champions League.

I mean you would go from a situation where shamateur Auckland City have gone to the CWC/Intercontinental Cup about 80% of time, to the two professional NZ ALM clubs either or qualifying 100% of the time.

Note Hekari United, Team Wellington and Hienghène Sport have all got past Auckland City, and off to the CWC in the last 15 years.

FYI - ChCh United apparently interested in joining the new OFC Professional League.

Going to be a very interesting year in the local NZ football scene, as we see how the ALM and this new comp both fit into the landscape.
