I can't believe the number of people that think that resigning Durante is a wonderful thing. Which games have they been watching?
He is now 36 years old and played in most of last seasons games which we conceded 55 goals. Surely that must say something.
The guy is just not good enough at this level and if you think I'm wrong just wait and see.
He can't be a starter, but we need leadership in the squad.
Firstly, Leggy's point about the defence last season is actually a larger one - in fact, we have been the worst defensive team in the league, and by some margin, since (and including) Ricki's last season there. You have to wonder why continually re-signing someone who has been at the heart of that is a good idea.
Secondly, there has been a lot of comment, including on this forum, about the issues with the team culture. Isn't it perhaps time to shake it up? What is that saying about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results?
