It's not like we are Mormons or the Brethren etc. I reckon most people have seen swear words before. This is the only forum I know that operates this way and it's frankly rubbish.

I just read them as swear words now anyway, everyone knows what they mean. Swearing is about intent and not the actual word used.

That's okay for regular forum users, it's going to get tedious explaining the joke to every new person that arrives however and that wont help with the perception that YF is elitist.

I swear with the best of them at times but the audience here is varied.

I also like being able to type the full swear word - much more satisfying. Previously I'd censor myself. Has been particularly good since the licence news broke.
