I don't think an annual kids go free game is the way to go. It just makes a lot of families form the habit of only going when kids are free. 

Devalues the nix ticket. 

Much like people who get into the habit of only going when they can get their hands on a sponsor freebie. But at least the club usually gets something out of that.
