So interesting article by Liam here saying that the Nix are counting higher crowds than what Westpac does
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/a-league/882...
"The gap between the home attendances reported by the Wellington Phoenix and Westpac Stadium is widening, although the football club says the explanation is simple.
Across four seasons from 2011 to 2015, the Phoenix's reported average home attendances for each season at the Cake Tin were between 2.2 and 4.5 per cent higher than what the stadium reported.
But last season the gap was 13.8 per cent, with the Phoenix reporting an average Westpac Stadium attendance of 7748 and the stadium saying it was 6807. This season the gap was 7.2 per cent in the first three games, excluding the New Year's Day match against Adelaide United."
It's a beat up over nothing. Dome explained why it happens, the article also said that the Warriors had a 28% discrepancy and other teams in the A-League also have a bigger discrepancy than the Phoenix.
Another way of writing the article would be "Phoenix have most accurate crowd reporting statistics"
