Doesn't seem logical to choose Greenie. Then you have to find an assistant too. Moreover Greenie doesn't want the job and isn't ready by his own admission. Trani had a decent go as headcoach with his ACL run and I like him. Would love to see him back as an assistant. Is he still doing freelance work for us something or did I just think I'd read that? Personally I'd rather see Trani than any of the previous A-league coaches.

Really any discussion about known candidates is probably not going to get us anywhere as if the owners are to be believed we are looking internationally til April so hopefully we end up with some talented systematic coach we've never heard of and we can all pretend we never discussing the possibility of Miron or Merrick coaching us.

I just read that Trani doesn't appear to have a gig atm. Is this so and would he consider comming back as assistant if we promise never to ask him to work with the youth?
