The last two 'home' games have highlighted a few issues :
- Yellow Fever and associated fans are a boon to the game, atmosphere and are excellent ambassadors for YF, Phoenix and Wellington; Napier security went from apprehension to wonder in less than five minutes and were taking photos of the mayhem taken for granted in the Fever Zone
- Fixtures away from the RoF struggle with providing an area for people to standup. Christchurch security told the standing 'horde' that although they were happy with fans standing, if anyone with tickets wanted to use the seats then everyone would have to sit down
- the atmosphere that YF bring to the game is terrace humour, this is
not politically correct, often coarse and always anti-Aussie
- if you want to sing songs, join a choir, football is for chanting - too many songs at Christchurch
- all chants should be supported, not just the ones started by the YF faithful - at Christchurch game chants started on the fringes were mocked
