Friday night would have meant next to no travelling Fever would be at the game, and the Phoenix wouldn't be able to market that side of things anymore.

with due respect to your point, a Phoenix win with their AWs is more important than how many YF turn up

Yeah, good point actually. I guess that the best chance for a win would be to play the game at Westpac. The Phoenix gave taken this game away from Wellington so are accepting that it'll be harder to win (extra travel etc), and are doing it for marketing and exposure reasons.
