Why didnt you come home in March of 2020? Genuine interest.Marto
OK. Covid infections up (much more infectious but greatly weakened), but hospitaitsations in the UK quite low given its freezing outside right now. All thanks to the various jabs out there so yes getting on top mortality wise. We still have the flu running about too but no one makes much noise about that anymore it seems.
And no, I'm no covid denier, anitivaxxer or other crazy, just sick of nearly two years of being locked out of my own country like many others and seeing first hand the effects of the current wave.
And I've no time for that clown and his cronies in Westminster.
Unless your a backpacker you cant exactly up sticks and leave on a whim.
There are many personal reasons as there will be for every other kiwi stuck outside NZ including AWs etc.
I'd likely be on the dole queue if I came home as my industry aviation/tourism, is on its knees, especially in NZ, where the largest employer (Air NZ) has got rid of hundreds of staff and stopped being a major player in the industry. Its also not a great company to work for.

Without saying too much, many personal reasons. Unless your a backpacker you cant exactly up sticks and leave on a whim. Also I'd likely be on the dole queue as my industry (aviation/tourism) is on its knees, especially in NZ, where the largest employer has got rid of thousands of staff (Air NZ).
