Ah well, if it all gets too much for you, the rugby season has apparently just started.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

No.  It'll be worse once the European season is over.

Might as well make the most of the lols while we can. The way things are going, the club might have gone tits up by the start of next season.

It's called Gouldy applying for a job with New Zealand football months ago as part of the 'whole of football' programme.  If he was being pushed for cashflow reasons they wouldn't be chasing a replacement already.

Likewise the players leaving are still on contract so they are not saving any money, they have to be paid until their contract finishes.

As always I will be one of the first to renew once there are tickets available which as the current season is still weeks from finishing isn't likely to be soon.

Did you learn this at lawyer school too?

(BTW season passes don't go on sale until the new draw is announced. Any ideas when this might be?)

You've missed the point. No season tickets equals no money. I don't wish bad news on the Phoenix but I am concerned how Terry is running the place. Why do you think we have to wait every year until the last minute to sign our players? Is it because we are waiting for the gun totos of this world - no. It's because Terry is trying to survive. I respect him a lot and it is his money but I think we need to start to contemplate there is a problem here. Until I see some new signings I will remain concerned and so should you

Agree, but you were saying that getting rid of players = saving money, which it doesn't unless they're off contract.

Alicia: You've missed the fact that season tickets don't go on sale until after the end of the current season and the draw is out for the next season.

No sh*t theres a problem. But its crazy that youre already saying 'well wheres your 2011/12 season ticket?' and 'hang on theres no new signings'... when this season hasnt even finished yet? Its stewpud mang.

Did i not read that theyre already aligning new players, with possible announcements in the coming weeks?

Season one we recuited late because it was late.
Season two we signed two players from the league winners before the grand final from the previous season.
Season three the only last minute signing was Chen and that had more to with four or five triallists not making the grade rather than any cost cutting measures.  The club were trying to sign players within weeks of the season finishing until a number changed their minds late resultingin the signing of Ifill instead.  I don't remember that ending badly for us.
Season four we recruited late because most of the clubs leaders were in South Africa.

How that provides a cross section that " we have to wait every year until the last minute to sign our players" I don't see.

Yes, so the last two seasons we have recruited late, at the last minute and to put it frankly poor players as a result.

If we had our 20 players in hand with 8 weeks (which it should be to blend in 9 new players) before the season started this year I will be happy
