Wonder if it's a bit of burnout from last season? More people went to more games so they're content to sit back until they get a feeling for where the team sits this year? After all, we've lost a lot of good players yet again, it's a new team really that's got to prove itself first. Just a thought. But yea would be nice to know why the club doesn't promote at least the start of the season. Probably hoping the media will do it for them with AFC joining

but also remember there's been a ton of job losses in through the Public sector which has impacted wellington massively. There will be a large number of casual attendees who will not be coming to games as they aint got the money to do so.

Plus, as far as the marketing goes, Domey's answer will be something along the lines of "We've tried it years ago and it made no difference to attendances".
And, to be fair to the club, they used to have flags, bus advertising etc and it didnt increase attendances.
