New rules with no outdoor crowd limits mean, surely, we're on for a RoF Reunion in the next month?

Praying it's gonna be Snake Rudan again and Wanderers.

Almost an end of season tradition now. Rudan, some team called Western and hopefully 20,000 plus at the ROF

This is great news. Looking forward to it
The thing though that I find annoying with APL match scheduling.
Perth are allowed to call all there games in Eastern Australia as away games and then get a string of homes games at the end of the season.  What about the Nix. We have been playing away games all season just like Perth. Now that restrictions have eased, would have thought we could have had more than 2 out of our last 11 games in NZ.

Week 9th-17th April will be tough. Melbs-Perth-Welly in an 8 day period. So team could be a bit fatigued for the ROF game. But get a nice 7 day gap between 2 NZ games

Is actually 2 weeks mid-late April with no midweek games

Can confirm YF are working with the Backbencher to have meal with drink deals due to Easter trading laws, so people can gather pregame and have a beer. Will provide more information when confirmed!

I was disappointed he fed the terrorists at parliament tbh, it’s soured my love of that place. Maybe my thoughts will change if it’s open early for beer.

Regardless, cannot wait for the game, here’s to an epic!

This was one of the first things we addressed with Boycie (Backbencher owner) when we started chatting with him about gameday. His response, copied and pasted below:

"I can fully understand that my position in regard to the protest is ambiguous especially in relation to the cut and paste of the media.
You can assure all YF that my position in regard to the protest is …
I am absolutely pro vaccination.
I am also anti mandate but especially so when NZ met 90% vaccination.
I did not support the protest and did not agree with its occupation but by necessity I(and the Backbencher) became a neutral zone (The Backbencher was not tagged).
I absolutely tried to facilitate dialogue, negotiation and resolution and acted with full cooperation with the police, the Mayor, politicians and the reasonable end of protest leaders and security to do so.
My objectives were to clear the protest from the streets and push for an end to both traffic light RED extremes and the mandates that have crippled my business and the CBD hospitality industry.

Please publish my position through any channel you see fit so YF members can make up their own mind.
I am very happy to discuss the events of the protest and my reactions to it with any and all customers/YF as long as they are civil and are enjoying Backbencher hospitality."

Because if there'd been no traffic light restrictions everyone would have felt totally confident pissing it up like the old days and hospitality would have returned to normal? Right right.

Unfortunately, that kind of selfishness and denial of inconvenient medical facts is par for the course among hospo owners.

yeah, Hospo screaming about no help and restrictions hurting them, and again when restrictions on numbers are being lifted they moan that it won't help. Basically hospo operators want all restrictions on numbers gone, but I guarantee you when that happens they'll be complaining about no staff being available and the government not helping.

I reckon given the backbenchers views they should be avoided at all costs, we should be supporting businesses that followed the rules and supported the community not the protestors that fudgeed it.

Actually think Wellington has been shafted with the return of the Nix but not really surprised. So we get the Easter Sunday game where most hospitality is closed there will probably also be the annual buses replace trains.  Also happens to be the start of school holidays. Hope like hell the weathers good so we can get a decent crowd

I might miss both games :( Will be busy House rental hunting. 4 bedroom for $500-$650 p/w. Means moving up the line I guess. The Wellington region has priced itself off the market. Go the Nix. 174 games :(
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Any chance of a supporting a bar that isn't pro-protest and anti-vaccine mandate? Can't personally justify sending any more of my cash their way.

I can see why he's attempting damage control but actions speak far louder than words and what's he's said is far too little, too late.

Good luck with that frankly a disgrace they havnt communicated with those who have purchased memberships the last 2 years while they have been based in Oz. Seems telling people on facebook and twitter is more important than your members. So disappointing but not really a surprise.

Mate your Season Pass literally says 'All games played at Sky Stadium', you will get a ticket. Given the club didn't even know this game was going ahead until Thursday last week, two business days ago, I'd say they're pretty busy getting ticketing info sorted and ready to be communicated as quickly as they can.

Cut the people working incredibly hard to bring the Nix to Wellington some slack, now isn't the time to go on one of your 'I've been here since Day 1' tirades.
