Given the Wellington FOMO effect, general fan obsessions with PAX and the seemingly exponential growth pattern of nix ticket sales (I.e. the more tickets sold, the bigger the increase in ticket sales)..
I reckon the winning formula to increase crowds is to completely gamify ticket sales to nix games…
Starting of with sharing ticket sales updates and as milestones are hit the offers and benefits for the whole crowd increase
I.e
5k ticket sales - 25% off food, $5k halftime kick for cash
7.5k ticket sales - 2 for 1 fries and 100 nix shirts handed out
10k ticket sales - 50% off beer (okay dreaming with that), $10k halftime kick for cash
12.5k ticket sales - free Big Macs for every goal scored and 50 fans on the field to watch the warm ups and walk outs
Etc etc etc obviously the better perceived value of the rewards the more effective it would be
Lots they could do with sponsors, and further expand gamification into other areas like those referring others to buy tickets or buying the most tickets, or having a streak of games attended etc
Food for thought! Would also add to the game day experience so win-win

Definately food for thought, except the nix do not have control over the food prices, they'll be set by the supplier to nthe stadium. Nix would have to pay the suppliers to provide the discount and would make no money from it except from maybe a few extra game day tickets.
You might get maccas on board as a sponsor to providfe the free burgers.
And the half time show, prizes etc are all sponsor funded not nix.
