1: It put us right up Perths tailpipe. If they slip and we perform, hello 1st place.

2: It shows that the results prior to the break were not some flukes. We have come back from a mini break and still playing well. 

3: It shows the rest of the league that we are to be taken seriously and this is not some lucky streak (although it could be argued we had some lucky results) It puts more emphasis on the team being a good team and not just a 'a run of results because of momentum' 

More than a few think Perth have a nose bleed for their position and I guess we have gotten so use to Roar, CCM and Victory being up there that teams don't take the form of Perth and Phoenix seriously. I mean what would the TAB offered on Perth being 1 and us being 2 at the turnaround? People will view us as pretenders unless we show them a bit more. A result against the Roar after a lay off in Brisbane does that.

This game is a 9-pointer, that's how important it is.

To be fair, if I was a fan of them I'd probably be pretty happy winning the ACL and having a write-off A-League season. This is new levels of low, though.
