Victory have a crazy good line up with no ACL depth will not be as much of an issue would love to see Rojas-Berisha-Troisi in a front 3. Rojas would benefit a hell of a lot with those 2. And then a more defensive midfield with Boz-Valeri-Brox just let the front 3 attack like Barca or Real would be epic.

Yeah, they have a really good squad - and still have 1 import spot free..

Lacking depth in CM - really only Mahazi if one of the Boz, Brox and Valeri go down. Guessing that will be where they will use the remaining slot.

No one really has depth past their first 11, though.

Anyone hear the interview with Marco and Gourdie. Polite kid but a boring monotone interview.

Good for NZ football having him back on our radar and hopefully playing regularly now.

Scored one + put Austin away to draw a penalty and by all accounts looked very lively in a closed doors game against Sydney today.

Troisi to Rojas the new Archie to Rojas combo playing in a front 3 of Troisi and Berisha will be killer for him could see him reaching the stats he did his MVP season playing with those 2 not to mention FBK up of the bench

I am a little bit weepy with joy, the boy came home and the boy can still play.

That's a very good finish.

I think he's going to carve up the league again - might take him a few games to get back to his best, but I think he'll just enjoy being in an environment where he's valued again.

Too good for the A League... how long til this starts being spouted out.

Michael Essien looks certain to sign with Victory good news for Marco given Boz and Valeri are certain starters it should mean Victory play a front 3 with goal scoring wingers wouldn't be surprised to see Marco or Troisi score more than Berisha this season can"t wait!

That was a solid goal Messi like crazy how he has got back his form of old by just changing leagues. I really think he suffered from playing in Germany and Switzerland as it just wasn't suited to his skill set.

Are you seriously suggesting that technical players are better suited to the A-League rather than the Bundesliga?

I'd suggest the defenders in Germany are much better at taking care of players like Marco (who like to dribble around defenders) as much as anything.

Fuck this stupid game

Plus I'd say that you need the physicality to go along with the skill.

Also the B2 and Swiss league Mat Leckie is a gun in the bundesliga but his close control is nothing compared to Marco

Scored the last minute winner and set up the first playing on the wing as Bozanic moved into the AM position. Rojas of old is back just in time for WCQ will be interesting to see how Hudson fits him into the starting XI when everyone if fit assuming we keep the 5-2-1-2 type formation

Fits in quite easy doesn't he? Can either be the 1 or 1 of the final 2, where he's clearly better than Kosta B.

Yeah I like him behind a front 2 but I was thinking more as the where does that leave Ryan Thomas? A front 2 of wood and Barba is good as they complement each other

Muscat is such a cock, being on camera is part of the job.

Also have to commend the graft of Beri$4@ in that goal. He fought for the lobbed in ball like a Target Man - the ADelaide defenders switched off. Beri$4@ was instrumental.

Great injury time winner and Muscat gets pissed off because he has a camera in his face. Like every other game. Idiot.

bittersweet moment for nzfootball fans its great to see him in form even if he teared us a new one. The after match interview with Muscat said it helps that they play him to his strengths. Good to see he's enjoying playing regular footy for a club that wants him.

I hope he's the top scorer in that Victory team come year end and right up there in the golden boot race.

Huh? I think that is his 4th assist. He even set one up for Berisha against us last week!

He also missed an open goal in the 1st half.

So he's first equal in goals and outright first in assists, early days yet but looking good for a Mooyesque return to Europe.
