It was a goal. I was thinking push when I saw all the arms go up from out boys. But unfortunately, that just looked a little weak from Payne.

Begrudgingly, it was an excellent finish too.

Hard for Payne to not be weak when pushed in mid air and no way of countering Duke.
For me in that situation you've got to muscle up and contest the ball and the player with every bit of strength you've got. The contact was minimal, Payne gambled on the exaggerated 'look ref, I've been pushed' hop to the side and lost out.

It's the sort of split second milking of a foul that players often get away with but right in front of your goal on the edge of the penalty area that's a very, very risky thing for a defender to do.
I see the complete opposite there. He gets a push in the back as he's jumping and is off balance - even a small push makes a big difference there, and you can't fake the momentum change that occurred - he jumped upwards, but moved forwards. Duke's arm clearly extends into Payne's back.

I don't think there's any milking there at all, just basic physics.

I don't necessarily expect the ref to call it, and I definitely don't expect VAR to overturn it but I don't think the accusations of milking are on the mark.

I don't think there's any milking there at all, just basic physics - and I say this as a CB who has pushed many a striker in the back!
