Lost a bit of confidence in Uffie at moment- still think he is best coach we’ve had, but his starting lineup this game more questions than answers. Thought best thing to come from Game 2 was promising pairing of McGarry and Lewis down the left. So our starting lineup changed with Sotiro virtually a formation change??? Did we consider putting Payne as DF and starting Fenton at RB? Didn’t think any changes were needed apart from the forced Rufer one. Someone suggested Sail instead of Marinovic - am starting to agree, and change DeVere to Hudson-Wihongi too and possibly bring in McGing for Laws - our defence looked way slow. The Kiwis looked sharp but the Aussies a little slow - are we playing the Aussies to appease the Wollongong crowds? Every game seems to be an away one - perhaps we should shift to Hobart, or possibly Canberra as I reckon the crowd support there would be way better. My Vote for Man of Match- Alex Rufer.
I think the best way to help a keeper regain confidence, or form, is not to drop them after only 3 games. Marinovic is our best keeper, he's shown that on numerous occassions, hopefully the coaching staff can work some magic on him.
Also worth keeping in mind we the Nix were at the same stage last year (3 losses). Playing well but not getting results. Eventually everything clicked and the results starting flowing.
