We need Sail in goal to have any chance of beating the Jets, Hemed to score his 1st A-League goal. 2-1 Jets

Sail?

Sail?

Yeah Sail, he has the height advantage over Marinovic and is better at stopping shots near the post unlike some1 we know as he did cost us the game against SFC. I think the experiment is over with Marinovic and its time to give Sail a chance to shine.

I think we should just start Royz in goal

Cant do any worse than a 4-0 loss to a npl team right.....

In other news know teh schedule is hard cause of covid but feels so weird lookking at the table with some teams playing 4 and perth on 0

New fixture update has done us a favor, giving us considerable amount of time between our next 5-6 games.

Jets have started in the same vein as last season, they have been creating a lot of chances but can't finish a sandwich. They will provide a good test for our inexperienced back line but I'm confident we can do the business on Sunday.

ROD up front has been particularly poor. Almost embarrassing the way he was tripping over his own feet last round.

So why the price hike in ticket prices for home matches now? 1st game $20 and now 2nd game $30? People are not even turning up anyway except for me and playing the Jets wont bring the crowds.

Will the prices go up again for the 3rd home match?

Could be worse. Could be $50 like it is to be an away fan at Campbelltown this round.

Jets were good against Roar last night only failing to capitalize shots on goal, they should have been up 20 nil in the 1st half then Roar dicked them at the end.  If they play like that against us and score goals we have no chance.

Ive seen in that other forum this match is considered  battle of the spoon.

$25, $20 and $12 adult options on Ticketmaster. Compare that with the $50 Macarthur is charging Sydney fans!

When u put it that way yeah i dont like SFC at the best of times however that's absurd for tickets, but not as bad as beer prices in Wellington i guess.

Who do people think will be replacing Rufer? Straight swap for Ridenton or Laws/Payne coming into the midfield?

It'll be Ridenton I'm sure

I think we could struggle against the Jets. They have been creating a lot chances, but lack the cutting edge. Our defense could be at its most vulnerable against the pace of Yuel and Najjarine. Watching their game against Roar, the Jets love to push either Topor-stanley or Koutroumbis up while they attack, allowing O'toole and Hoffman to push wider into the wings. Long balls over DeVere and Laws could cause a lot of problems. We gonna have to be very clinical with the chances we create. If Hemed, Bally and Uli maintain a strong form, and quick shutting down from us, we can get that W.

Yes, the Jets are no easy beats for sure. Interested to see if Piscopo can force his way in.

While we'll miss Taylor's strength, leadership and experience, I think having a more mobile partner for DeVere in Laws is a definite improvement in terms of being able to deal with balls over the top.

Yeah Jets have the taller timber and i can see them climbing all over us in both goal mouths to score a few and save a few.

If Sail is in goal this will help over come some of the issues in playing the Jets.

What did Marinovic do to you, Royz?

He cost us the game against SFC.

This is a very good point. However, not only did he provide strength, leadership and experience, but he demonstrated peak sh1thousery on many an occasion. This latter 'quality' I also miss.

I know, I know, its serious!

CCM showed last night there are no easy beats in this comp. The Jets are placed similar to us last year. 4 losses but all by only 1 goal. But I feel that 3 games in a week this early in the season for the Jets will work to our advantage, especially considering the forecast is for 30+ temps on Sunday.  The Jets did little rotation of there key players in there last 2 games, and I think we have more depth than them on the bench. We should be much stronger over the last 20 or 30 min. I'm picking Riddenton to score against his old club, he will have something to prove. Looking forward to this one.

Thank You Sky Go, Tethered to my cell phone, I have an HD quality picture of the W League game. I hope the game after is the same. I'm in Tologa Bay for the night. Moments like this if it stays like this, will gain Sky some serious credibility.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Sotiro starting over Lewis :(

Obviously Ufuk thinks we need more speed and less ability for this one.

Lewis hasn't really impressed so far, though would also rather him starting ahead of Sotirio.
