this may be a bad idea and possibly knocked back quickly, but maybe we dont boo Rudan when he comes onto the field, given he was so keen to come to NZ as soon as the bubble was opened, he kinda deserves a clap especially after Perth were like "hell no we wont go"
Then normal business can resume once the game kicks off.
When visiting Wellington for their 22 May game Rudan (and the team) will be representing their club, not just themselves. And I would be the first to applaud the club (WU) for coming across, to be the first team to do so since the pandemic.
By coming across to Wgtn they are helping Welnix with the gate takings and the club promotion, in a financially difficult season. I would welcome them just the same way I would welcome any other team making the trip across to play in NZ right now - no different than how our tourism operators are happy to see the Aussies coming here for the snow season. We're all in this together, let's take a broader view just once.
