Super happy with the 3 points.
Can someone explain how Gordon's studs up challenge wasn't a red? That was a ankle breaker and Sotirio was lucky not to have been injured.

Sure - Kurt Ams
haha yeah, but how did VAR not get involved? It seemed clear cut. Genuinely curious as that was far worse than the red's we got for Ball/Rufer.

From memory VAR did have a look, and they decided on a yellow. Commentators mentioned mitigating factor could have been Sotiro actually having his foot off the ground when Gordon caught him.

Of course that should have been Gordon's 2nd yellow, and game would have been easier from that point for the Nix. You could actually make a case for Gordon's having even been sent off in the first half. Derfinite yellow for Piscopco tackle, and marginal taking out Hemed near the 6 yard box.

Arms & VAR had a mare, when you throw in WSW's goal which should have been disallowed. But I also wonder just quietly if what Taylor does at attacking corners is totally legal. He made Margush's life hell, and wondering if some refs would pull that up, when Arms let it go. But yeah the combo of Taylor's antics, Lewis's delivery and big Hemed at corners looks a winner - keep it going.

I thought having his foot raised was only really mitigating in that it reduced serious injury. His foot being raised made the fact that Gordon made contact with his shin with studs worse, cos it meant Gordons boot was raised higher than it should have been to effect a legal tackle.

Gordon should have received 3 yellows in that game, each tackle he made that was called for a foul should have been yellow carded. They were all cynical, all late and were nowhere near the ball.

Taylor can stand wherever he likes at set pieces, as long as he's not off side. He's generally not making contact with the keeper, in fact Ams warned the keeper to stop pushing Taylor at one point. It's not Taylors fault that Margush is shorter than a 12 year old.
