No Davila.
Win and we destroy another team's top 6 chances.

I hope Reno can step in as arch-creator, but the team must have been buzzing from Saturday. WSW had to work their arses off last night. We can do this.

Got to get in first... A must win game :) Hemed to score a brace in the face of a torrent of abuse from the Red and Black bloc.

Anything but a narrow 4-1 loss coming up, WSW to good and way to strong to let this game slip away at home. No Davilla, jet lagged legs, playing away all adds up to our downfall.
Bring on next season as it was good why'll it lasted.

There is a risk of a draw here.  We had two very competitive games against WSW to date and with all honesty I could not see much difference between the teams at that time. I hope we are on an upswing though, despite the expected tiredness from a short turnaround and a flight fatigue.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

It depends on what WSW team turns up. If they are on their day they are as good or better than the top teams.I have watched all their games this season and some are woeful but others are very good.I'm picking we might struggle.

Agreed, I feel like this one might be a bridge too far for us. This is a game where we will really miss the class and hard work of Davila. WSW have got a lot of depth on the bench too, especially attacking players. Frankly we've got very little and that might be the crucial difference in the last 20 minutes.

Having said that sometimes in a knockout game like this the pressure can get to the hometown team. Chuck in some good old fashioned luck and who knows. Should be a ripper though because a draw pretty much dooms both team chances of making the playoffs.

Time for a defender to score the winner. Taylor, looking at you.

We come into this match unbeaten in our last 8 matches, while WSW have lost 4 of their last 8. We are away from home, but they have a shorter turnaround between matches into this. Playing in front of the big Wellington home crowd will have been a big boost for the players, and hopefully gives them extra motivation to win this and get as big a crowd as possible at Eden Park.

Have been two high scoring encounters between us earlier in season, but we now have Taylor. Dorrans was out for them in our previous matches, he can maybe hold their midfield together a bit better, but they are still vulnerable at the back.

Can do this!

Mitch Duke picked for the Socceroos. Not sure if he misses tomorrow nights' game.

10 A League players in all picked in the 31 man squad.
Imagine Ikonomidis (Glory) and Genreau (Macarthur), will definitely be missing from the Nix games coming up.

Other picks from the A League -
Good, Maclaren & Metcalfe (Melb City)
Grant, Ryan McGowan & Redmayne (Sydney FC)
Tongyik (CCM)

So big disruption to the title hopes of this season's top two sides. First Socceroo's match next Friday (4th June). Last game 16th June.

A League finals to go June 11th to July 3rd?? So I guess Melb City & SFC players could be back for 2nd week of finals, just. If Socceroos win their first 3 games, and qualify for AFC World Cup qualifying next stage, Arnold could release the A League guys early.

Good summary. If we crack the finals we might face a few weakened sides.
I think the finals series would finish on 27 June?

This could really go against us.  SFC have some tough games coming up that we need them to win for our sakes.  SFC v Adelaide & SFC vs Brisbane.

Given that Brissie won today we really really need SFC, Glory and WSW to take as many points off them as possible.  That very last A League game of the season, Glory vs Brisbane, will be what makes or breaks us I think for the toilet seat playoffs.

City fielding a weakened side hurt our chances, we have to win tonight to get past Glory, then we must beat them on Sunday to get to 37 points and hope some results go our way. City are without J Mac now for the rest of the season, he's getting married this week and will be away with the national team through the finals series.
7 points out of 3 games is a minimum to see us playing finals footy.

We need 9 points from these 3 games, 7 probably won't be enough.

I think Brisbane are on a roll and too far ahead. Given we aren't playing them in one of our final games  I just can't see them falling out of the six. The Mariners or Macarthur are now realistically the only two we can knock off i think. Crucially they play each other tomorrow night. Mariners have the easier run home, so if the Mariners win and we win tonight theres only 2 points in it. If we then beat perth and they lose or draw to Western we go above, leading into the final game against them where it could feel like a cup final. We're still alive here, just need a few huge doses of luck

Adelaide getting less than 3 from 2 could also do it. Not impossible...
I almost hope that WSW have a mathematical possiblity of making top 6 come the last round.

Nervous as hell for this one, but really think we stand a great chance at taking the 3 points. Our attack looked so fluid and cohesive on Saturday, should be full of confidence going into this one. Wanderers defensive line is a shambles recently as it has been all season really, conceding 13 in their past 5 games. Really their attacking performances are the only thing that's got them points this year. They've scored a bucketful of goals as we've found out with our 2-2 and 3-4 from earlier in the season. We've now got Taylor back again though, who I can't see giving an inch to Mitch Duke across the 90 minutes. Bruce Kamau has been scoring heaps for them recently by cutting in from wide positions and getting ahead of fullbacks, but Uffie sets us up with Sutton/McGarry and Fenton really narrow when defending so he won't have the space to be effective. Honestly believe we'll show them up tonight.
