Talking about that, don't the players get extra breaks if the temp is high? I can't remember if its a rule or just an agreement between the teams.  Bloody glad I'm not playing in that heat.

I'm going to put a bet on a 0-0 draw, both teams will be too buggered to bother with running around and scoring goals

Yeah, they did that in the game at the Adelaide Oval recently.  ref blew the whistle midway through the half and everyone had a drink.

It's 8 in the morning over here and it's already 30 degrees...should be a cool change kicking in around lunchtime, which should see the temp come down to 28...

I remember being one of the linesmen on a Wests game at Ole a few years back and we had a drinks break after about 20 minutes because of the heat (on the advice of the powers-that-be). All hell broke loose, coaches were screaming at the ref because we'd stopped the game, it was pandemonium.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Just don't wear any Victory gear and you should be sweet.

I don't own any Victory gear, I'm not a supporter.  I'll be easy to spot though - I'm the very pale Pom with the bemused smile.

Hey Benjamin, are you coming to meet us at the Celtic Club first as well?

All going well over here so far, we hatched a plan drinking vodkas ion our roof terrace last night that as we can see the Dome from here we should climb up and hang the banner over their main stadium signage....so everyone arriving tonight come to the "YELLOW FEVER DOME".

Our crew of 9 YF are heading off to a tour of the MCG shortly....then supping a few Pure Blonds......its low carb beer so its also great forur figures!!!

C'Mon Phoenix!!!

I woke up this morning and my room was like a f**king sauna. Lucky the game is quite late so it should be cooler by 6:30 when I catch the trian.

I still don't have a retro ricki though or anything yellow I emailed em but they never replied so eh.

He might have that horrible bright yellow one with him! Or is that the one he offloaded to Ogenovski?

He might as well give you his, he'll have his shirt off 5 minutes into the game won't he?

What really happened was Sherpa Tenzing got there first, turned around and gave Sir Ed the big "Who Are Ya?" from the Summit.

Tenzing was later found dead...

Shame it wasn't hot on Everest when Sir Ed tried his luck. It would have melted the snow making the ascent to the top less and he probably would have got there!!!

Na, have to go to the Dome to pick up my pass.  Then need to suss out if I can use it to get in with your rabble, or if I have to go sit in the quiet seats as usual.

I've just had it confirmed that I can't use my pass to get into the mobile Fever zone due to 'safety restrictions'...  I'll be hanging around outside Nando's about 6ish onwards though if anyone wants a chip and a laugh.

Yeah right, a house full of melbourne fans against about a dozen Nix fans really could affect the health of any Melbourne fans!

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

no Old Bill has been in touch - just walking i guess. I think they are more worried about the Victory supporters given the volatile nature of Santy, Betters and Ginger Boi.
