When did we draw with the Victory? I'll take that result, can we get the official table changed to reflect this result?

Too right.

There is also an error in this article

"

Sydney head to Wellington to take on the Phoenix in the first elimination final of the weekend, a trip across The Ditch most clubs dont particularly enjoy. But its game like that when players as consistent as McFlynn are crucial.

Sydney have enjoyed two victories against Wellington this season but both have come at Allianz Stadium Westpac is much less forgiving, and the Sky Blues will have to be at their best to contain an Phoenix side enjoying their most successful season yet.

Many have already written off Sydneys chances but theyve found enough form at the end of the season to turn it around.

Form and location suggests Phoenix are the favourites to progress but a player as tenacious as McFlynn is about to go down without a fight.

"We've got an experienced enough squad," McFlynn said of his teams chances recently.

I think you saw when things are on the line everyone puts their hand up stands up and is counted.

But what really counts will be what happens this Friday night in Wellington."

My and 3 more will be wearing a head bandage in honor of our lovely Timbo, hope to see many more bandages in the Fever Zone

Jinx!

The last time everyone wore the head bandages from the start of the game, the Phoenix played like sh*t, and we lost. I think the same thing happened at the pre-lim final in Sydney.

Headbandages should be worn once one of the players has one. Don't pre-empt the head bandage!

I can't understand why smith is finding it hard to get into Ricki's starting xi he was the difference. Not sure about Tony L if he's carrying an injury. We really miss him when he' s not there. Vinny or Leo would be the ones to miss out if they are all fit

Iirc, the head bandage mojo got a bit mangled but recently Manny made it all okay again.Should be sweet.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/football/6653948/Brett-Emerton-to-call-on-big-game-experience

"Brett Emerton has challenged himself to inflict more A-League finals heartache on the Wellington Phoenix as the Socceroos stalwart dreams of ending his own title-related anguish during his homecoming season.

Sydney FC's marquee player vowed to lift to another level and guide his inexperienced teammates through tomorrow night's elimination final against the Phoenix at Westpac Stadium.

The 33-year-old midfielder certainly boasts the credentials to do so in this, his 17th year as a professional footballer."

Fark, now they believe in us makes me think we're going to lose!

Clearly Reddy remembered the last time he was in a playoff at the RoF, realised that this time he was on the wrong team, and had to get drunk to handle the shame.

I wonder if the reason they knew he was pissed was because he started singing "I'm drinking on the plane"

I'm surprised they didn't make the headline "former Phoenix goalkeeper liam reddy has been sent home etc"

I don't know about anyone else but I'm feeling very unwell with nervs for this game.  I don't think I can cope with a loss. Hope the team does the business.  I'll be making a charitable donation tomorrow to get some good karma going.  Love you Phoenix!

According to FourFourTwo, Sydney merely said that he was sent home for breaking cub rules by drinking, not for being drunk. They didn't say whether he was drunk, or even how much he drank.

Either way, he sure aint no David Boon!

I wonder how much truth there is in Sydney's official statemement though.
Surely one beer would not have cause him to go have to leave NZ? I reckon he may have had a few too many. Just my opinion though.

I just hope this causes the Sydney a decent amount of trouble within the Sydney camp.
