Excellent save by Kurto dennying Kenny Athiu.
R19 vs Melbourne Victory | Fri 15 Feb | 7.35pm | Eden Park | Morningside Tavern
Kurto is an animal
With Troisi and Barbarouses on park, Kamsoba and Athiu already dangerous, Victory will pose a threat even if Toivonen and Honda are not playing. Honda is on the bench and may make an appearance.
Victory dangerous on the counter.
Victory learned to be tackled by watching Mandi
So close to a chance for a Krishna special there.
Crowd looks awesome on TV
Excellent work between Singh and Cacace. Proud of our kids.
Mandi and the ref are having absolute shockers
FOX wtf

We look so nervy - we have a lot of space but we rush every pass or Mandi spends 10 hours on the ball

Fair nuff

Is Mandi able to get decent sleep with a new baby?
Durante looks well off the pace and Taylor should stop passing it tbh

yep, annoys me that habit of his. It's like he's got to prove he's top dog against the challenger instead of just offloading it.
Victory looking just a bit more composed at the moment, stringing together quite a few promising attacks.
Nice few moments from the Nix but now Victory regaining initiative. Kosta looking very assured. Very cagey game so far.
They seem to be able to waltz round our defenders at will. Holes there in midfield too.
Singh going down far too easily there - has to be stronger , jeez

Looks like the wind is picking up?
Oh come off it, that's not a yellow!
Fudge sake Singh get out of th eway
We're doing so much of the easy stuff really poor - bad touches from Singh, Mandi etc.
Would Fred stfu
We're a bit lethargic at the moment. I look forward to a famous Rudan spraypump at halftime.

The only positive is I feel we can get a lot better if we pull our shark together. The first touches are atrocious.
What the hell was that ball from Mandi? Utterly aimless, gives them the ball straight back from our free kick.
As I said earlier, Mandi looks like he probably did not have enough sleep.
Dead even game so far -
Feel like Melbourne look less nervy, but we've created about the same. We just look a bit like we're hot potatoing it; not really any calm, measured play
MVC look more likely tho
Gotta score there.
Wow on 2nd look, that was an absolute shocker by Roy. Use your left foot mate.
We need to score before Honda gets on tbh
Fenton is having an excellent game so far, as is Taylor and Kopczynski.
Fenton, Kopa, Taylor good (except for Taylor's long passing)
Mandi, Singh, Dura, Rufer - need to do better.
One moment summed up that half for me - Rufer got the ball in midfield, one player pushed to tackle him and he completely panicked and gave it away. That is the difference between both teams; Victory are far calmer on the ball. We just need to calm the fudge down and pass it like we have been.
In saying that, the chances created are pretty even; though Victory obviously had the one "big chance" of the half with Athiu. We're very lucky Ola isn't playing, because he would've buried that one.
well I really enjoyed that half, good energy at least
COYN
FInished quite strongly but still think MV look much more likely to score. Our midfield needs to do the simple stuff better instead of dwelling on the ball or trying fanciful balls that just lose us possession. Every time that happens it leaves our rather lumbering defence exposed.
Cacace is a find isn't he.
I reckon we may have shaded having the better of the first half, very marginally.
Enjoying Fenton & Cacace, not enjoying Mandi & Rufer.

Agreed, but I thought Singh was not any worse than any other day. I would say it is Williams who needs to step up a bit.
