that's 200k welnix would be spending on a player when we're already making a loss. I think that's the idea behind the no marquee rule.
That was my impression too. My point is if Welnix aren't going to spend 200k on an average marquee then how do we know that the squad is not 200-300k short of the salary cap either?
Edit: Sorry if Welnix have stated they have given Merrick the salary cap to spend then that is obviously different. I suppos if we are spending the cap then we can't use the "we're a small market" excuse if we miss the playoffs.
