I am of the opinion that the right marquee could change the league. Someone like a Rooney would have a massive impact on crouds and metrics. I know the likelihood is tiny, but considering our exposure in NZ/ Aus to the premier league is huge comparability to other leagues.
An elderly premier league star of Rooneys stature would absolutely change the league and put bumbs on seats.
